I met James over the summer to list our family's home. Right from the beginning he explained the process and made me feel very comfortable listing our home with him. During the sale process he posted signs in many areas in the neighborhood and on the property. His communication was top notch. Whether it was when he was having an open house, how the open house went or just a general conversation, he communicated it to you. He always listened to my questions and feedback.
When we finally had an offer, he worked very closely with myself and the buyers to make sure the transaction went smoothly. The entire sale process went extremely smooth and organized. Happier Than We Ever Thought!
Our experience working with Katie Wagner was wonderful and enjoyable. We were looking to downsize and we wanted to be near water, either near the Cape Cod Canal or the Ocean. She was very attentive to what we were looking for, pro-active with new listings and always ready to show us properties. We must have looked at a dozen places. If we had questions, she would get the answers. She also urged us to do our own research so that we could be as informed as possible. She was patient, professional and personable. Best Call I Ever Made!
I recently had the opportunity to meet Melissa Almeida of Upper Cape Realty. I had property that was passed down to me that I let, over a number of years, fall into disrepair. I was told by several, because of my actions, the property was near worthless - Initially I was reluctant to seek real estate help because I was told that real estate people would connive the property away from me to serve their own agenda, as one almost did.
When I finally made the decision to call Upper Cape Realty, fate had Melissa Almeida answer the call – in retrospect, it was one of the most productive calls I've ever made, simply because I got to meet Melissa. Melissa not only showed up early for the appointment time I set, she was very sympathetic to my reluctance to divorce myself from the property that had been in my family for so many years. Melissa told me she would do everything she could to not only sell the property but acquire as much as possible for the property.

I had two homes to sell to settle my parents estate this year.
Each of the properties had some known challenges, the pandemic market was a moving target, and I was not living close to either home. After independently researching my options, I selected Nancy Angus and Upper Cape based on reputation, professional representation, scale and completeness and competitiveness of the proposals.
Nancy was fabulous to deal with in every way. As is often the case, additional unknown challenges were added along the way. Out of Town Seller say “Same As If I were There”
In April I listed my home on Gitche Gumee Rd in Wareham. My realtor was Upper Cape Realty in Buzzards Bay, MA, and my agent was James Abdu. James was very helpful with suggestions on how to present the home to enhance its appearance. Since I live in Florida, it made it much more difficult to communicate, or at least I thought it would, but not for Mr. Abdu. He kept me informed and updated on every step of the process of selling the home. He was never discouraged, always positive and whenever I called him, he actually answered the phone himself, no receptionist, no other agent. If he wasn’t able to answer immediately, he would always call back in a short period of time.
I mentioned I live in Florida, so James had to handle taking care of any repairs, oversee the completion of jobs, no easy task, but James did it without any complaints. I also sold a home at the same time in Florida but the transaction wasn’t pleasant at all. Comparing my Upper Cape Realtor to the one in Florida made me realize just how efficient James was. He is a man who is worthy of praise - excellent character, trustworthy … in short, he is an excellent Realtor.

Cathy was very helpful, never felt any pressure at any of the places she showed. She didn't cover anything up or try and convince you something was not an issue etc. If something didn't seem right at a showing - she was honest about it. Always made herself available around our schedule. We had an issue towards the end with changes that were made week and a half before by the seller or their agent (who was very difficult to work with) but Cathy stood up for us and got the issue somewhat resolved (to an agreement). Bought a home sight unseen with Tammy …
I live in California, and purchased (sight unseen) a house on Cape Cod. Tammy was recommended from a friend on the Cape. I totally depended on her for direction through the purchase process that is different from California sales.
